"The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know." - Albert Einstein This is a phrase that Marty Schaffer uses to describe his experiences in the backcountry. Crazy to think about, considering he grew up in the backcountry skiing in the Monashee Mountains and is literally a backcountry professional. But in talking to him more about this, what he is getting at here is that there is always something more to learn. As in any activity in life, whether it be skiing or snowboarding, it is always important to be humble and open to the idea that there are always avenues to continually improve. This series will offer up small nuggets of knowledge you may have been missing. It will offer insight into the little things that may just make your day a little bit brighter. Just be sure to bring the shades 😉
