These met and exceeded expectations in the freezing rain of British Columbia and blustery snow of Colorado without compromise...the fabric is so breathable and comfortable, we forgot the jacket had pit zips during one tour.

They feel durable, warm, and have a hefty amount of protection on the bottom part of the pants, where boots and things can slowly rub you into a new pair of bibs. I also like the big zippered cargo pockets, which are easy to access on the lift or when slogging uphill for your next untouched powder run

Trew’s lightweight Capow bibs are aimed at backcountry skiers, but I love them for any ski day on or off the resort. These thin, flexible bibs move with you and have a fairly tailored fit that keeps the fabric from rubbing while you’re in-motion but still block wind and are fully waterproof to stand up to wet snow and damp spring conditions.

The Capow Bib offers an appealing combination of a pretty breathable (yet waterproof) laminate and a supple (yet durable) fabric. Those seemingly contrasting characteristics add up to a bib that could work equally well in the resort or on the skin track, depending on your priorities.

Trew’s Capow bib pulls out all the stops to make a bib that doesn’t become a sauna when you start heating up. I have used the Capows for ski touring for about 50 days a year for the past two ski seasons, and not only have I not seen a decline in performance, but I’ve also found very few flaws.
