It felt awkward, coming from using OR Hemisphere bibs that are super light and minimalist. I got to take the capow out last night and now I definitely love the length, especially because my AT boots are on the shorter side . It turns out the pant leg moves great going uphill --the articulated knee and loose fit all felt very smooth and easy. While the OR hemispheres are lighter, no better or worse than capow, I love the capow for feeling more durable, a better barrier between me and elements, while having a better design for dumping heat at both inner and out thighs, you can even unzip at the butt, and the torso on the way up if need be. Someone else mentioned the kokatat dry suit butt zip in comparison, and I have to agree with her--- this butt zip is way easier to use, I did not struggle to get layers out of the way or putting them back. It was a super awesome access point instead of the typical one long side zip that exposes your torso to the elements. I am getting used to the pockets near the chest being so small -they are perfect for the small clip lights I use, chapstick and beacon. The phone goes in one of the thigh pockets which is way more convenient than I ever imagined, and I don't notice it /it does not heed uphill movement.
