$49.00 $69.00

Anything but basic.

Sure, it may look like a 'Basic T' but in reality this is anything but. If graphics or pockets aren't your thing, then here's a beautifully clean design with the subtle Sunrise TREW tag on the hem just for you.

To stay dry and comfortable all day, there's no better material to have next to your skin than merino wool. Nuyarn enhances the natural benefits of merino by innovating the construction of the yarn, allowing us to build garments that are stronger, lighter, warmer, stretchier, and quicker to dry. Oh, and most important, they still don't stink.

*Do NOT put in the dryer! See Care Instructions below for more info.

  • 120 gsm Nuyarn Merino Wool
  • 70% merino wool / 30% nylon (core filament)
  • 100% certified non-mulesed wool
  • Open range sheep shorn annually
  • Spun in Bluesign and Oeko-tek 100 certified facilities

Compared to ringspun Merino, Nuyarn:

  • is 5X faster drying
  • has 85% more elasticity
  • has 35% more thermal retention
  • has 50% greater tensile strength
  • has 120% stronger seams
  • is 8.8X more abrasion resistant

*based on independent tests by AgResearch New Zealand

Wash infrequently. When you really need to, wash with mild detergent (no softeners or scents) in cold water, gentle cycle. Air dry by draping over something or laying out on a flat surface. DO NOT PUT IN THE DRYER.

    Mixed feelings

The Nuyarn Pocket T is very comfortable shirt. It’s one of the softest shirts I own and it feels great against my skin. I’m 6 ft. 5 in. tall, 175 lbs. and went with a size L. It’s a good fit. I probably could have gone with a M, but I kept the L because I enjoyed how nicely it drapes. The dungeness orange is a great looking color.

I am a fan of merino wool shirts (I own many) for their versatility, temperature-regulation, and anti-odor properties. This one naturally does all that. And it has a nicer stretch than most.

The problem is that with only moderate casual wear (no athletic use) and two gentle washings ( no dryer, of course) it is pilled all over. I mean every inch. I’m surprised especially since I’ve owned and used rigorously a Trew Nuyarn T from about 5 years ago that has held up really well with no issues. Maybe the newer Nuyarn formulation is softer and stretchier, but it seems to have lost something in the process. This one is not looking so good, and I’m concerned about its durability.

    Great Year-round T

Looks good, feels good, and is wearing well. Whether I'm in a warm hut or at the beach it has become my T-shirt of choice. I'd like to see a long sleeve version and one with a heavier Nuyarn.

    Yes

Great shirts, versatile and holds up well. Try to wash cold and air dry but even after a few cycles in the dryer it still fits.

    Comfortable, light weave merino shirt

Great looser weave than Smartwool or Icebreaker, means it feels lighter, and less clingy. It’s a great shirt for any season- I wear it for workouts and around town, too.

    Favorite Ts

The Nuyarn Merino pocket t-shirts are my favorite shirts. Super comfortable, durable, and also make a great base layer for spring skiing. They do have a small amount of shrinkage after washing but they you can do a damp stretch. They also don't smell after multiple wears.
