We all love watching a good road gap backflip or couloir straight line. You’ll find us on the other end of the spectrum. 34 and Rainy is a group of people with a shared desire to push the often-overlooked moments on snow to just the right place, so that the story sticks with the audience after the images fade from the screen.
This is what happens when four bad ass women who are not afraid to tell a vulnerable story join forces. Each member of the team is an advocate for mental health and equality in the ski industry, living and breathing the ideology that “when it all comes down to it, just getting outside and onto your boards is something to celebrate”.
Team Mahre features Shannon and Andy Mahre as well as their two young children, Huck and Ryder as they naviagate the wild world of running small businesses, and parenting, and continuing to hone their craft on the mountain.
The Change Collective are a group of BIPOC athletes, activists and advocates who wish to strengthen our community through storytelling and connecting with nature. Marginalized communities have always been excluded from snow sports, and this team aims to address the reasons why and encourage change within the culture of snow sports at large.
The VVX crew is a group of skiers based out of Revelstoke, BC. The group consists of skiers from different locations and backgrounds around North America. In 2021, the skiers connected naturally in Revelstoke and formed the crew, showcasing their unique contrasting styles, personalities, and backgrounds.
Drawn together by their love for the 6 million acres that make up the Adirondack park, Josey, Caitlin, Maddie, Kyra, and Connor are eager to showcase the understated, rugged beauty of the “Forever Wild” wilderness in Upstate New York.
Originally hailing from the West, the East, the Central, and the “Shark Bite Capital of the World”… the @telecolo_ crew is made up of trail builders, filmers/photographers, architectural weekend warriors, janitors, and what they can only describe as “other”.
A group of five friends who met each other chasing the Alaskan dream. Living in school buses, vans, and enclosed trailers, armed with snowmobiles, ski planes, and verts - Team One Love represents a broad spectrum of personalities and backgrounds forged together by the trials and triumphs of the Alaskan wilderness.
Featuring an eclectic crew of filmmakers and snowboarders, Hijos de la Primavera have spent many years in the backcountry and in the edit bay. With this project, they are setting out to find long, multi-hit lines that test their knowledge of the terrain they’re riding on, and explore the line between planning and spontaneity.
The all-women Factotum team mostly reside in Bend, OR with Mt Bachelor's Woodward and Peace Park's as their playground. The crew will be free riding throughout the PNW and Jackson Hole, leaving no pow stash untouched.

Teams can consist of between 2-5 individuals, including riders and filmers. It could be 1x rider and 1x filmer, or 2x riders and 3x filmers. If you have a story that you think deserves to be told and snow that deserves to be ridden, we’d love to hear from you.
After receiving all of the submissions during the application process in late Fall of 2022, the TREW team sorted through every application and handpick the 10X teams that we felt brought “STAY TREW” to life the best based on a variety of criteria, including but not limited to:

NOPE. One of the aspects that makes this project so interesting is the element of a finite filming / editing timeframe.
All footage must come from the filming window*.
*If a team wanted to use archival footage for storytelling purposes, they had to submit a request to the TREW team for approval.
The winner of this project will be 100% chosen by the community!
At hometown screening events and upon digital release, viewers will be able to vote digitally on their favorite edit [on this page!].
After voting closes, TREW will tally the results and the team with the most votes will receive a $10K cash prize.

No purchase necessary to enter or claim a prize. A purchase or payment will not increase an entrant’s chances of winning.
Open only to legal residents of Canada and the United States who are at least 18 years of age in their home province/state at the time of entry.
TREW To You, Presented by TREW Gear (the “Contest”) is sponsored by TREW Gear of 1145 SE 2nd Ave #202, Portland, OR 97214 (the “Sponsor”). There is (1) First Prize to be awarded – whichever team has the most votes at the end of the voting period wins the prize.
CONTEST PERIOD: The filming period of the content begins on January 30, 2022 at 12:01 AM Pacific Standard Time (“PST”) and ends on a to be determined date in Fall of 2023 (the “Contest Period”). The Sponsor’s computer will be the official clock of the Contest. The filming period will conclude on March 12, 2022. The editing period will begin on March 12th, 2022, concluding on April 9, 2022.
UPLOAD AND PUBLIC VOTING DATES: Entrants must submit their 3-5 minute final edit, along with all raw clips captured throughout the filming period, to TREW Gear no later than 11:59 PM PST on April 9, 2022.
ELIGIBILITY: This Contest is offered only to legal residents of Canada and the United States who are over the age of 18 years in their home province / state at the time of entry. The Sponsors and their parent companies, subsidiaries and affiliates, advertising agencies, distributors, dealerships and other companies/consultants involved in the design, production, execution, distribution, implementation and execution of the Contest, including TREW Gear, are collectively referred to herein as the Contest entities (the “Contest Entities”). Employees of the Contest Entities and each of their respective immediate family members (i.e. spouses, parents and step-parents, children and step-children, siblings and step-siblings) and persons living in the same household of each are not eligible to participate in the Contest. The Contest is subject to all federal, provincial, state, and municipal laws, and is void where prohibited or restricted by law. By participating in this Contest, an individual who meets the eligibility requirements and enters the Contest (each individually, an “Entrant” and collectively, the “Entrants”) agrees to be bound by these official rules (the “Official Rules”) and all decisions of the Sponsor, and agrees that the decisions of the Sponsor and the Sponsor’s agents shall be final and binding in all matters pertaining to the Contest. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
CONTENT RIGHTS: By participating in and submitting to the TREW To You community film contest, you are authorizing TREW Gear to use and feature the complete edit and any and all raw clips provided on trewgear.com, TREW TV (YouTube), and TREW social channels in perpetuity. The complete video will remain intact with full credit to the athlete(s) and the filmer(s). In addition, the footage can be edited and used by TREW for highlight reels and promotional materials related to this contest and future TREW video contests. TREW has the right to re-track the edit with different music if songs submitted are unlicensed.
In addition to each team’s final film, teams will submit all raw footage collected during the filming process to TREW for use in promotional materials.
The athlete(s) and/or filmer(s) will maintain full rights and copyright to all footage submitted. TREW will have no copyright or ownership of footage, just licensed rights as listed above.
