Great hardshell for skiing in bad weather

I wore this on a trip to Norway where it was stormy every day, and it kept out wind and snow and did everything I needed. I was concerned that not having front cinches might make the hood not great, but I found it to work perfectly with only the rear adjustment, even in sustained wind and precipitation. I have also enjoyed the jacket back home on wet days in the PNW where I've stayed dry in it. The drop pockets fit even my fattest pow touring skins, and it's really nice to have four pockets and a pass pocket in the arm for when I'm in-bounds, including the two pockets that are higher up so they aren't blocked by a backpack waist belt while touring. I think the colors are nicer in person than I expected looking at my computer screen.

I love this jacket (no surprise)

I won a TREW Jacket 15 years ago in a raffle. After years of happy use I gladly spent the money on a full kit of TREW pants and jacket. Now, 15 years later I purchased this, as my 3rd jacket along with the Eagle snow pants. It's thinner and softer to the touch than my previous Capow and I'm happy about it. I've used it in single digit cold and mid-40's. Both in dry, and in wet conditions and I'm thrilled. But as my headline said, no surprise.

Excellent jacket

I was hesitant to try a unisex-fit jacket as I am a small female, and have never had luck with the fit of unisex-sizing in the hips. This jacket is an exception, the relaxed fit means I can easily layer with fleece and my patagonia down sweater on these very cold New England days. When I first tried this on, the pitzips felt awkward under the arms, but once I put my typical layers on, it didn't feel awkward anymore.

I paired this with the Capow bibs, which are also fantastic. My teenage son told me that I looked "really good, like a real skier" which makes it well worth the $$!

Only two things I would want:

1. A place to connect my season's pass (I know we are old school at our mountain and still get our passes scanned)

2. Slightly bigger neck and hood, I can't really pull my hood up nor can I completely zip it up to tuck my mouth in to protect from the wind.

Somehow an XS

I am 5’8 and 145 lb female and yet the men’s small here was still too large (especially on the sleeves) returned and going to size down! If you’re a smaller lady maybe reconsider to a different style
