The new pair held well on a Denali trip, only one knee hole got done while performing a rescue on the 16 ridge. Still satisfied with the lightweight fabric and excited for improvements to come later. Very well tapered cuffs make cramponing easy without the threat of catching baggy pants. They also have adjustable cuffs to tighten down even more. Pockets designed to work with a harness on! And really light weight material that is breathable and waterproof. Plus full zips for full ventilation or layer changes. Loading... Once I put it on It felt a little awkward. The fit on the upper part felt slightly loose, in comparison to the Capow fit. Also, it saves weight by not having belt buckles, so you depend 100% on the suspenders, wich sometimes go to the side of my shoulders, as they don't cross from behind the back. Going down on the features, I figured this would be solved by wearing a harness, as they are designed for that. After a trip to a big glaciated terrain (AK), and wearing glacier harnesses every day, I noticed another missing feature; the leg zippers. I wish this bib had the same inside zippers as the Capow. For more ventilation. Also, the left side zipper, which opens from the top so you can go to the bathroom, it's not that easy to open downwards to ventilate that leg if you are already rigged with a harness and backpack and traveling on a rope. Maybe add a 3rd zipper as some tents do? so you can reposition where you open it?Last, the magnet closure at the leg seems like a good idea and when is works is nice, but if snow fills any of these little holes, then these open up. One needs to be careful using these with crampons. After a month of testing them I noted the fabric in the inside leg changing the fabric a little bit, right where the leg loops of the glacier harness seat. I'm already sending an email to Trew to check this up. Hopefully this gets addressed and I hope I… Loading...
