Double Weave

Weatherproof/breathable constuction

The double-weave construction features a soft and cozy interior woven into a smooth-faced exterior that sheds moisture blocks cold drafts. There is no lamination or bonded layers in this fabric. The performance is built-in to the structure of the fabric itself, and the resulting garment is more breathable, durable, and versatile than a bonded softshell.

Polyester / Sorona

Sustainable technology

Our double-weave is a blend of 65% polyester and 35% sorona. Sorona is a biopolymer that is comprised of renewable plant-based ingredients. Compared to nylon, the production of sorona has a significantly smaller ecological footprint, using 30% less energy and releasing 56% fewer greenhouse gases. The sorona fiber is known for it’s soft hand-feel and quick drying capability. When combined in a double weave with polyester, we can create a high-performance fabric with the softness and touch of natural fiber.

Love this jacket. I got the maroon in XL (6'3") and it's definitely not a boxy fit like some other brands' XL sizes. Arm length is perfect, fit is great and has a little stretch. I was pleasantly surprised with the maroon color as it's more subtle with the tan sleeves than it appears on the site, and looks TREW stylish for sure. Zips are super solid and quality is A+ as usual. Great cool weather and light precip jacket, but haven't tested in anything major yet. Stoked!

Love this jacket as it is very comfortable and feels very well constructed. This is going to be a great jacket to throw into my rotation of various activities. All the zippers are sturdy and the pit zips are much easier to use than my Wander Jacket. Hood tightens down and stays on, great pockets, and so far very durable. My only issue with this jacket is that it is not very waterproof on the shoulder seems. Fine in a light rain but anything heavy and you will get wet from water seeping in.

Just got my new favorite softshell! Great colors & fit. Awesome pocket placement, zippers, pull strings in the right places & nice hood. I'm 6'0" 170ish & it fits perfect for skiing or whatever else. Thanks!

my jacket is a LARGE.

I just got this jacket today and was immediately impressed by the material and comfort of it. I was also able to go play in it earlier today and put it to the test. I took it out touring and it will become my go to jacket from now on too along with my Pow funk and polar shift puffy. It was perfect for the way up the mountain, at top, and for the way down too. Once again very pleased with what trew gear has put out!! And if you are thinking about getting this soft shell just send it! cuz you will not be disappointed!

The material that they use on the jacket is stylish and durable. When I first put it on, the area under the armpits was a little tight. I think this is normal with the material. Do not let this alarm you. The more you wear and move in it the material on the jackt stretches and conforms to your body type giving you a great fit. The style is functional and looks great on these cold fall days. My only suggestion would be to have a slit on the check pocket to thread your ear phone cord through.
