I was concerned that not having front cinches might make the hood not great, but I found it to work perfectly with only the rear adjustment, even in sustained wind and precipitation. I have also enjoyed the jacket back home on wet days in the PNW where I've stayed dry in it. The drop pockets fit even my fattest pow touring skins, and it's really nice to have four pockets and a pass pocket in the arm for when I'm in-bounds, including the two pockets that are higher up so they aren't blocked by a backpack waist belt while touring. I think the colors are nicer in person than I expected looking at my computer screen. Loading... Also, seems like all companies offer "short, reg, tall" options in bottoms, but NO ONE seems to offer jackets in Short, Reg, and Long arm lengths. I'm average height with a belly I wish I didn't have. Just because I have a larger waist doesn't mean I have a larger chest, longer arms, etc. It would be nice to have technical clothing that actually fits. Loading... After years of happy use I gladly spent the money on a full kit of TREW pants and jacket. Now, 15 years later I purchased this, as my 3rd jacket along with the Eagle snow pants. It's thinner and softer to the touch than my previous Capow and I'm happy about it. I've used it in single digit cold and mid-40's. Both in dry, and in wet conditions and I'm thrilled. But as my headline said, no surprise. Loading... This jacket is an exception, the relaxed fit means I can easily layer with fleece and my patagonia down sweater on these very cold New England days. When I first tried this on, the pitzips felt awkward under the arms, but once I put my typical layers on, it didn't feel awkward anymore. I paired this with the Capow bibs, which are also fantastic. My teenage son told me that I looked "really good, like a real skier" which makes it well worth the $$!Only two things I would want: 1. A place to connect my season's pass (I know we are old school at our mountain and still get our passes scanned)2. Slightly bigger neck and hood, I can't really pull my hood up nor can I completely zip it up to tuck my mouth in to protect from the wind. Loading... We are so happy that you are loving the new jacket, and your notes about the neck/hood have been passed along to our design team so that we can make this even better for upcoming seasons. I am obsessed with the neon pink/turquoise combo and was so stoked to see that it was just as beautiful in person! This jacket has everything I could ever want, but I’m heartbroken to report there’s no way it can work based on how tight the neck is. I should have combed through the reviews more carefully before purchasing because it looks like this has been an issue for some time now :( I tugged and pulled, thought maybe my hair was in the way, but the neck presses tightly against my mouth no matter how I try to adjust it without any layers on, and it simply doesn’t leave any room for a gaiter/hooded mid layers. Zipping it up with a helmet leaves me feeling claustrophobic. I’m 5’8”, 135 lbs with a typical to slim sized neck so I don’t know how this isn’t a more pressing issue to fix on what is an otherwise incredible jacket. Would love to purchase again if this ever gets updated! Loading...
