Our PRIMO 3L Collection is most at home at the resort, but is backcountry-ready for your touring adventures!

The Powfunk Jacket in particular can keep up out of bounds, but it is a heavier, bulkier style that caters to lift lapping.

The Powfunk Jacket PRIMO offers our signature ‘modern freeride fit’ with a looser style, plenty of room for layering underneath, and longer length to keep your bum covered on even the wettest of lift days.

Fit better than the cosmic

I was looking at the cosmic primo based on all the reviews here, online, and on youtube. Then saw the cosmic and realized it's the same material just a different cut so on a whim ordered each so I could choose the one I liked best. So glad I did.

The cosmic fit me really weirdly on the arms and neck. I left a review on it over in it's page if you're interested.

The powfunk feels so comfortable. I really like the hidden chest pocket under the zipper flap. The cuffs fit under my hestra gauntlet gloves really well, but if you had short gloves this would do a nice job going over them. The zipper and the flap go together and come undone really well.

The inside of the jacket is identical to the cosmic, minus the headphone port on the cosmic. But who doesn't have Bluetooth nowadays!?!

The jacket fits very comfortably zipped or unzipped. The hood fits on my helmet and without a helmet it's big but the cinches keep it fitting decently enough.

The only thing I liked more on the cosmic was the forearm ski pass pocket. The bicep placement on the powfunk one doesn't want to unzip/zip unless you take off gloves and hold the sleeve taught as you zip. The forearm just makes more sense so not sure why they did the bicep on this jacket.

If you're looking at the cosmic you should give the powfunk a look too. It also looked more flattering on my 40 year old dad bod.

Excellent piece of equipment

Could not be happier with my purchase. Spent a lot of time researching reviews and when I made my decision all went seamlessly - From online shipping, to checkout and delivery. This is fantastic gear and has worked well through everything I've put it through - Spring skiing conditions in Oregon, to heavy wet snow in Washington, and -21 with windchill in upper BC, it handled it all without missing a beat. Highest recommendations.

New Favorite shell

Super comfy! Lots of storge space. But even with all the pockets, it doesn't add much more material or feel crowded. I normally am in between a medium and large with a M being too snug and a L being too big. This jacket fits me perfect. All about the color combo on this jacket.

heavy duty jacket for heavy action

I love this design and the material used, and the burly feel reminiscence of the Bellows jacket. The design is great and the color schemes are always eye popping with Trew. My only suggestion would be they should go back to the thumbs up logo being embroidered onto the jacket. That little touch is so nice.
