Eagle Pant PRIMO

Everything, all the time.

We grew up skiing in the early 2000s, when pants had just the right amount of room, and straight-lining an Alaskan peak could earn you a spot in a film. The Eagle Pant is a nod to that era—a straight-fit freeride pant with oversized cargo pockets and a no-nonsense design. Dual leg vents provide seasonal and uphill adaptability, so you’re ready for whatever the mountain throws your way.

      Top Shelf

I’m a 6’ 175lb advanced Mt. Hood PNW resort skier with a 33” waist and I love these pants. I purchase a SMALL REGULAR (using their guide, normally I would wear a medium pant) and am able to fit a long John base layer and fleece pant under it.

I’ve only been up 5 times with them so I can’t comment on long term durability. First thing I noticed out of box was the high quality durable Primo fabric feel. They fit perfect with a belt and they cover my base layers.

When off mountain wearing a shoe, a single fold in the leg keeps them from dragging on the ground, when on ski they cover the top of boot and rest on the curves with no wind or snow exposure and easy access to my buckles. The reinforcement fabric between boots is a nice touch for extra durability .

First day up they were put to the test with wet thaw at lift line and re-freeze snowing conditions at the top. Repeated all day they they kept me bone dry and the amazing vent zips on inside and outside of leg dumped extra heat and maintained a comfortable temp. I love the 2-way zips on the outside leg, single ones on inside, and the easy grab pull tabs. The vents have mesh on the inside that keep snow out but dump heat, which means I can keep them open, set and forget.

After a few times up I have appreciated the pockets. Two zip pockets in front I keep my keys and wallet just like I would normally do with pants. They are at the right depth to hold items in the right spot when I sit on a lift or at lunch. The front…

      Great Pant

Finally got to use this past weekend and very much enjoyed the pant. Just used a mid base layer underneath and it kept me warm to about 20 degrees with wind. I like them.

      Favorite pant

I am usually a bib guy but I love these pants and find myself wearing them more and more. I love these pants look of them and the material used has a stealthy durability look that I love. My favorite aspect is the pocket placement on the thighs. Very functional. I have skied my hole life and worn many different brands but Trew is the one that always fits and performs best. I love how dedicated they are to give you an option for inseam fit.

      Great performance, just no room...

I love TREW Gear and have been riding in their pants and jackets for years. While the Eagle Pant PRIMO has excellent technical fabric, I find the pockets very tight for a resort pant. Its difficult to have a beanie, keys, wallet and phone - which is disappointing.

      Sizing is terrible

Seems like a well constructed pant but I was surprised that it runs so large. I'm about a 31x32 and these were not even close to fitting me. Worse, you're just out of luck if you buy an outlet item without realizing it and reading the fine print on returns since an XS is still probably too large
