Team Wildline checking in from the Northeast!

Noah, Connor, and Josey of Team Wildline ride, work, and play in Upstate New York, usually in the Adirondacks. Noah is a professional Ski Patroller, EMT, and artist, and Josey and Connor run Wildline Media Productions.

We’re still reeling from an incredible winter out here on the east coast. It was cold, snowy, riddled with storms - the kind of winter that dreams are made of. So much stoke and not enough time!

We got into the High Peaks Wilderness for some backcountry film days and found plenty of untouched snow, big cliffs, and even some blue skies. Double digit negative temps scrambled our plans a couple different times, but we persisted and made the most of it!

We also did some front side filming at Whiteface Mountain where Noah is a patroller. The 1980 Olympics were held at this resort and it has lots of secret powder stashes, glades, and natural features, if you know where to look (Noah does).

Our film explores Noah’s experience as a skier and an artist, so we spent some of our filming days capturing his art-in-progress. Tazzy was a good supervisor! Through this project, we’ve tinkered around with some great creative conundrums: Who can call themself an artist? What is considered art? What’s the point of skiing? Of art? We haven’t found any answers, but we’ve had lots of interesting things to think about!

Spring is slowly make its entrance to the northeast and the snow is slowly melting, but we’re determined to ski every last drop. Noah is off to the Chic Chocs for a winter swan song and we’re hoping to get a couple good corn harvests in before the season is fully wrapped. We’re excited to see this project come together. In the meantime, if you want to talk skiing or art, you know where to find us!

See you out there!
