BTS with Team Senderos

This winter turned out to be a strange one.

Low snow, long stretches of warmth, definitely not what we had hoped for. We caught a couple of powder days early in the season, and at the time it felt like the beginning of something. Looking back now, those ended up being the only real ones.

But in a way, that made this project what it is.

Even without consistent snow, we still found ourselves out there, over 30 days on boards, or at least in the mountains, just making the most of what we had. What could have been a pretty uneventful winter ended up being one of the most memorable, simply because of the people and the time spent together.

This project brought a lot of us closer. Long days, late nights, a lot of problem solving, and a lot of laughter. It’s also been a shift for me personally. Coming from the commercial world, I’m used to structure and control. Out here, you adapt. You learn quickly that what you bring with you is all you have. It forces you to be intentional, to simplify, and to trust the process.

Some of the best moments weren’t even the “big” ones. They were the simple days—lapping our small local mountain at sunset, hanging out at the top for hours, making up games, sharing food, and just enjoying being outside together.

At the end of the day, that’s really what this is about.
