Hey Dana, Route Package Insurance is an order add-on that customers can choose to add or not to their orders to protect from package loss, theft or damage. While an added perk of Route is that they provide carbon offsets for all of our packages and shipping (even those not covered by the insurance), the main purpose of this service to to make sure that customers are covered in case of issues in shipping!
