THE AFTERLIFE x VALLEY HOUSE

Kelli Van Noppen is the owner/woodworker behind Missoula-based Valley House. She is also a ripping skier, and a long-time customer of TREW! Kelli left her 9-5 behind in 2022 to pursue sewing and creating full time and hasn’t looked back since. You are sure to see why when you set eyes on her beautiful photography and thoughtful craftsmanship. We are VERY excited to share Kelli's newest Le Tour Collection geared for summer adventures by bike and made out of recycled outerwear!

LE TOUR COLLECTION

MEET THE TREWSETTE

The musette bag was first used by British and French troops as a lightweight way to carry rations, and later adopted by cyclists in the early days of the Tour de France to carry food and cigarettes. This new-school TREW Musette (aka the TREWsette) has an extra dose of magnifique as they are hand-pieced and patchwork-sewn of recycled TREW outwear and will be your go-to for bike commuting, grocery getting, or heading off on a whimsical weekend adventure.

MEET THE MAKER

Valley House Woodworking is based in Missoula, MT and run by long-time TREW customer Kelli Van Noppen. Outside of work, skiing is her first love and she grew up in the Cascades spending seasons at Crystal and Bachelor. Kelli tried many things before realizing that making with her hands was what she wanted to do! She loves working with stuff that otherwise would be thrown out. The environmental part is obvious, but she also likes seeing how color ways start crossing over and trying to figure out how to maximize the material to make the product do its intended job. There is a lot of problem solving in the process. It feels similar to figuring out things for the first time in the shop. She keeps busy with gravel riding, spending time in the wood shop, knitting, baking, walking the rows in her hoop house, and caring for a rotating menagerie of animals.
