Meet, Kelli Van Noppen of Valley House!

Tell Us About Yourself!

I am based in Missoula, and tried many things before realizing that making with my hands was what I wanted to do! Outside of my work, skiing is my first love and I grew up in the Cascades spending seasons at Crystal and Bachelor. I also keep busy with gravel riding, spending time in the wood shop, knitting, baking, or walking the rows in our hoop house. We have a rotating menagerie of animals here who keep us busy too.

Favorite places to camp and bike?

We used to backpack when we lived in Oregon and had some youth and time on our sides. Heading up the green lakes trail for a couple days and skittering around a pile of obsidian and some stubborn snow piles still hanging on. We’d stay at the base of South Sister. So much love for the Cascades still. I have a real topophilia for the high desert and all that sagebrush and juniper and volcanic rock. We’d love to do some more camping or bike trips out in the north Cascades, Olympic Peninsula, and the San Juans.

Meet Kelli's Newest Collection, THE ROLL-UP BIKE BAG

A handy bag for your handlebars. Fill it with snacks, layers, field guides, or whatever you need for a day on the bike. Each bag is a one-of-a-kind handmade piece meant to be used and enjoyed. Ride with it rolled down and snapped shut or jam-packed and filled up. This little bag is looking forward to your next adventure by bike. Attaches to handlebar using two adjustable hook and loop straps and to the head tube with a paracord and toggle wrap. Each bag has a small exterior zip pocket and one internal panel pocket. Made from recycled TREW outerwear.
