After a lifetime of competing in high-level sports, the path of Shelby Estocado took a dramatic turn following a snowboarding accident where she suffered a spinal cord injury in 2020. Now an adaptive skier, High Fives Athlete & Sisters in Sports Athlete, Shelby uses sports as a way to regain independence and push past limits. Shelby channels her competitive drive into adaptive sports while also bringing awareness to the adaptive community. Capturing this journey through compelling cinematography, filmmaker Jordan Drew documents her evolution as an athlete and individual at their home mountains, Palisades Tahoe and Alpine Meadows.
