27 PRIMO Collection is in the News & Winning Awards

Each autumn product launch gives us a chance to make our snow jackets and bibs even better—and nowhere is that progress more apparent than in our PRIMO Collection. Shaped by athlete testing, customer feedback, and continued advances in fabrics and features, the 2026/27 lineup brings together the men’s Cosmic Jacket and TREWth Bib with the women’s Stella Jacket and Chariot Bib - and we are so proud of what we've created. Every piece reflects our relentless drive to build gear that’s ready for whatever the mountain brings.

We’ve scrutinized every pocket, zipper, flap, detail, spec, and cut on these core pieces, pushing ourselves to make outerwear that’s durable yet light, weatherproof yet breathable, and stylish without chasing trends. Just a month after launch, the 2026/27 PRIMO Collection is already shaping up to be the best kit we’ve ever made.

We're not the only ones to think so either (thank goodness!). Last season, we put the new gear in the hands of pro athletes, industry testers, and snow publications to put our threads to the ultimate test across a wide variety of conditions and pursuits. The reviews are starting to roll in—and the short version is, they’re loving PRIMO.

TL;DR - Our women's Chariot Bib is Ski Magazine's Editor's Choice; our women's Stella and men's Cosmic Jackets were named Blister's Best Of; and both PRIMO kits were featured in Freeskier's Buyers Guide for the 2026/27 Winter Season. And that's just a few of the accolades we're most excited about, you'll have to read on to get the full scoop...

We know that our PRIMO Collection isn't cheap, and before making the investment we'd want to see what the experts think, too. So here's a running list of PRIMO press, accolades, and in-depth reviews for you to take in before you take the plunge. Then jump in, the powder's fine :)

WOMEN'S

Ski Magazine / Outside Online: The Best Women’s Ski Pants and Bibs of 2027 - Chariot Bib is "Editor's Choice"

"It’s rare to find a pair of women’s ski pants we can’t criticize, but the TREW Chariot Primo Bib does everything well. Our testers reached for it across warm resort laps and stormy backcountry days around the Mountain West, and all came back with the same verdict: This is the bib they didn’t want to take off."

Blister: Buyer's Guide - Stella Jacket [Blister Best Of] & Chariot Bib [Blister Recommended]

"This combo from TREW has become a favorite resort shell kit for several of our reviewers, largely due to how well it's held up to daily lift laps. TREW's PRIMO line of outerwear utilizes a rugged but fairly supple 3-layer laminate....The Stella/Chariot combo has more than enough storage for our preferences, and the Stella's generously sized hood is one of the best we've used - it doesn't feel restrictive when pulled over a helmet, yet the jacket collar also does a good job of staying up and not digging when the hood is down....if you like room to move and you want a shell that's built to last, the Stella Jacket and Chariot Bib deserve your attention."

Freeskier Magazine: 2026/27 Winter Outerwear Guide - Stella Jacket/Chariot Bib

"The fit is tailored to a woman's body, offering a sleeker line than the men's style without going full hourglass shape. With that said, the kit is still loose enough to fit extra layers underneath and throw spins or flips without feeling restricted. The kit provides ample storage space...Whichever mountain day you choose, the women's TREW kit has all the features you want when nature or the bar is calling."

Switchback Travel: Best Overall Women's Ski Bib: Chariot Bib PRIMO

"Overall, the Chariot Bib hits the trifecta of protective, comfortable, and stylish."

Outdoor ProLink ProView - TREW Gear Stella Jacket PRIMO & Chariot Bib PRIMO Review

(Overall rating 4.8/5)

"The Final Word: The TREW Stella jacket PRIMO and Chariot bib PRIMO are an excellent “one kit to rule them all” for resort riders who also want to explore the backcountry. As a company, TREW seems to care about its athletes, its community, and our planet, so you can feel good about supporting them. The jacket and bibs are well featured and durably constructed, with just a couple design and fit tweaks that I think would make it a perfect kit."

MEN'S

Ski Magazine / Outside Online: The 10 Best Men’s Ski Jackets of 2027 - Cosmic Jacket "Best for Slackcountry"

"The Trew Cosmic remains a stand out shell-style jacket...but the Primo fabric is the star here...It’s abrasion-resistant, has a hint of stretch, and proved to be both exceptionally waterproof and highly breathable. It’s also recycled and bluesign-approved. A great pick for someone looking for a bomber jacket that won’t leave them wishing for more protection on either side of the boundary rope."

Freeskier Magazine: 2026/27 Winter Outerwear Guide - Cosmic Jacket/TREWth Bib

"Of course, you’ll find plenty of Velcro and zippered pockets for all your storage needs, as well as large vents, a helmet compatible hood and removable powder skirt. But the real story here is durability, which is why the brand makes gear not only for the everyday skier, but also patrollers and mountain ops employees who need outerwear that can take a beating and still show up to work the next day. Whether you’re out there hunting down lines, running the resort or saving lives, this kit is the Trewth."

Blister: Buyer's Guide - Cosmic Jacket [Blister Best Of] & TREWth Bib

"TREW's PRIMO outerwear continues to be a go-to daily resort choice for many of our reviewers, largely due to how rugged and well-featured these pieces are. They're made with a burly but surprisingly supple 3-layer fabric that's not as crinkly as many hardshells, yet we've logged over 250 days in the Cosmic PRIMO without a tear, and it's still keeping us dry during wet storms."

The Inertia: Best All-Around Shell Ski Jacket- Trew Gear Cosmic Primo

The Inertia: Best Overall Ski Bib - Trew Gear Trewth Bib Primo

Trew Gear Trewth Bib Primo Review: The New Best Ski Bib on the Market?

"Bottom Line: The 2026 Trewth Bib Primo brings considerable updates over the prior version, such as mesh-lined inner thigh vents, an updated pocket layout, an adjustable waist, and more. The mesh-lined inner-thigh vents, especially, are a big step up, providing incredible versatility for resort and backcountry use. Overall, the Trewth Bib has done a lot to earn itself a spot at the top of our list of The Best Ski Bibs."

GearLab Trew Gear Cosmic Primo Review

"If you hate skiing in shells that skimp out on pockets, the good-looking Trew Gear Cosmic Primo has more pockets than we know what to do with. Better yet, when the snow flew in Idaho, the coverage and weather protection was outstanding."

Outdoor ProLink ProView - TREW Gear Cosmic PRIMO Jacket + TREWth Bib PRIMO Review

(Overall rating 4.8/5)

"The Final Word: If you’re looking for a baggy, freeride kit for use in and out of bounds, the TREW Cosmic PRIMO and TREWth Bib PRIMO get a big thumbs up when it comes to looks and performance. While I found sizing a bit tricky to dial in, it took a closer look to find any other flaws with the kit. While I wouldn’t dedicate it as a backcountry kit, it was nice to see additions that made life easier on the uphill, all while staying dry when the weather turned."

Engearment.com Reviews the TREWth Bib + Cosmic Jacket

"I got to say, this is the best version yet. And honestly, it’s my favorite jacket and bib combo I have tested this year, and the last few years." - Sean Sewell
