      Best Touring Pants

Just finished my first backcountry trip with these bibs. Basically, they are the new version of the Roam bib which I've had for years. The lateral and medial thigh vents really help shed heat on the skin track. The pockets are large enough and all but the thigh pockets had anchor points. I had my transceiver in one chest pocket and radio in the other, separated but both anchored which is nice. The shoulder straps are stupid long. I cut off nearly a foot and stitched the ends. I could have cut more. The fit is a tad off to me. The chest, waist, and legs feel baggy but the seat and crotch were a bit tight. I'm 5'11" 195lb and tried a L but traded for an XL. I'm not sure the material would endure daily resort skiing but for touring I haven't found anything I like better!

      best bibs around

this bib combines freeride fit, breathable materials, and the best pocket lay out in the industry. I had an older pair that lasted me quite a few years and was so impressed with them I got another pair, this time in the short inseam that they didn't offer before.

      Great bibs for most days

I got these so that I would have some hard shell pants suitable for touring before a trip to Norway this year. They were awesome for a week of touring in the arctic with sustained 20mph winds and dumping snow every day. I was dry and comfortable every day. I have used these at the resort since getting home and have been happy with the durability of the cuffs, since other bibs I've had have been destroyed by ski edges pretty quickly. I love that there are clips for a beacon in 4 different pockets, and that there are vents both inside and outside of the thighs so I can get a crosswind going if it's hot. That being said, I have had a little trouble with the straps sliding slightly, so I have to tighten them every few days, and I found that the inside vent zips can chafe me if I'm wearing the bibs without a base layer on a hot day. All in all, these are my favorite bibs I've ever had despite the nit picks.

Best bibs I've ever had - buy them!

LOVE the Capow bibs!!! I've worn these in wonderful wet PNW conditions and have stayed dry. They also block the wind on those very cold, windy chairlift rides. Love the pockets, the material, the zippers. There is nothing I don't love about these pants. If I had a nit to pick, it would be the flared bell bottom style but that seems to be a thing these days. Personally, I prefer a slightly slimmer bottom cuff but that's just me.

Size wise I would say true to size. Some might call these a slimmer fit but in my opinion they are perfect in every way. I have room for layers and a knee brace but they are not baggy. If that is your thing, look at different pants. I am old and the only 6 pack I have is PBR or some Montucky Cold Snacks. These pants accommodate this older, not quite svelte body just fine. Comparing to Backcountry Cardiac bib, Flylow Chemical pants and Flylow Baker bibs these are a much nicer and a less boxy fit.

      M Capow Bib

I'd have to say, at this point, these bibs are now my favorite ski pants I own and I have 4 other pants I wear.

We've had some pretty cold temperatures lately and they are definitely my go to pants. The quality appears to be top notch. I tend to cut my cuffs with my ski edges and so far have not noticed anything on the cuffs.

Great fit and plenty of compliments from my ski buds about the look and fit.
