This year saw our fifth Product Survey, building on previous years with the largest pool of respondents yet! We can’t say thank you enough to those of you who took the time to complete this survey. We truly value your feedback which ultimately helps shape our designs and operations.

NOTES: 

While most customers still primarily spend their time inbounds, a majority of responders are spending some time in the backcountry each season and we are seeing those numbers grow year-over-year.

Both age, and average ability saw increases this year of 5%+ in key categories. It makes sense that these are tied closely, but i look forward to seeing if there are any larger trends around customer experience and ability in the future!

What sort of accessories/merch would you like to see from TREW in the coming season?

TAKE AWAYS: 

• Gear Expectations: This was a new one for us, and the responses fit our expectations. 5-8 Years of regular use is generally a reasonable expectation for quality outerwear. While there will be outliers on either side of this, generally speaking this is a reasonable expectation based on average uses. 

• Jacket Length: We’re seeing a trend towards a preference of a hip length jacket. Hitting at/just below the hip responses jumped by more than 10%

• Wrist gaiters are getting more attention as being a positive feature when designed well. We’ll keep thinking this one over…

• Additional Gear Ideas: We hear you, see you, and have some rad ideas in the workshop now. We’re stoked to share more soon.
