I bought this sweater last year (Fall, 2015) and have broken it out again for this season. It was my first piece of Trew gear and I couldn't be happier! While there isn't a lot of call for layering in North Carolina, this has been excellent as an all-"winter" daily-wear jacket in our climate. Aside from using it as a daily jacket in NC, I have used it as a layer under my shell while skiing and brought it traveling almost anywhere during the cold months. When they say it only weighs 9.9 ounces, they aren't kidding. A light breeze could blow this thing away. Don't think that makes it any less warm, the 850 down fill is awesome and the outer fabric is actually pretty durable. I was a little hesitant to get a puffy because I was worried about it's durability, but after all the wear I've put this sweater through I haven't had a single snag or issue with it. I'm 5' 11", about 180 lbs, and it fits pretty well. Although it is a little puffier tha
n Patagonia or North Face jackets, it compresses really well when under a shell, or into its pocket for traveling or stuffing into a backpack on a trek.
