Cosmic jacket black and tan

Yeah worth every penny. Still fairly lightweight for a durable 3L jacket that gives every impression it will last many seasons. I found this jacket to run very true to size where as some of the 2L jackets would run larger. I’m 5’9 145 lbs and bought a small. So it still has an intended shape visible but still lots of room for under layers plus a good mid layer. Also this hood and collar fit over the helmet better and more comfortably than any other jacket I have owned. Trew really does their homework and it shows.

Excellent Jacket

Really digging the Cosmic Classic jacket, the fabric and quality is outstanding. Venting is excellent and works well to dump heat, I really like the hybrid cuffs and pocket placement.

Bomber

Styled very well. Slim, modern fit. Super sharp-looking jacket with obvious attention to detail and high quality. Clearly will last a long time. Highly recommend if notes on fit aren't an issue.

A few nitpicks from someone who is very picky:

This medium fit is much smaller than I expected based on suggestions and measurements. I am 5'11" 155 lbs and was looking for a shell for resort layering. I wanted the ability to wear a base layer/mid layer/ light puff. Based on my size and Trew's fit reputation, suggestions, and measurements I figured the medium would be rather large and therefore perfect. However, I can only really wear a base and mid-layer and be comfortable in this shell. The biggest issue is the neckline - which is very slim fitting, so there cannot be much bulk in that area or else you will get choked out.

The sleeves are also much shorter than I was excepting, so fits well only over cuffed gloves/mitts. I could go for a little more length and wider cuffs (bungy portion of cuff limited opening). Overall jacket length is money.

Hood/Neck opening fits best with hat. Not a friendly with helmet (Medium Smith Vantage). Still totally works, but hood up is sub-par.

Good Looks, Solid Performance, Very Long Fit

As one of the only companies making riding gear for folks my size (49/50” chest and stout/thicboi torso), I really appreciate Trew. It’s hard to find quality coats that fit, and the XXL is actually a little baggy on me. My only gripe is that it’s really long (as most XXL coats tend to be) and this one tightens up at the top of my thighs. If it were a couple inches shorter it’d be perfect, but I’m an uncommonly-shaped rider. I just have to hike it up when I bend over to buckle in.

Style is on point - even got a “love the Trew coat, sir!!” from a lift operator at Steamboat. Any gear that gets me called “sir” is welcome in my closet! I know they were going after an urban vibe, but this hits exactly on the old-school 90s TNF color block style I was going for.

It’s a bomber shell. Tough as nails, with good ventilation. I run pretty hot, and this did a good job of fighting off the wind and keeping snow out for the ride down and letting me dump heat when I stopped. I would have liked to see one of the interior pockets get a zip closure (extra security for my GoPro) and maybe have one “smalls” pocket on the inside.

Overall, it’s a great jacket that looks awesome and has a TON of room to layer under if that’s your jam.
