"Just a dream and the wind to carry me, and soon I will be free." -Christopher Cross

The innovative Drop-Liner design keeps your valuables dry and protected on your wet commute and adventures. The seam-sealed liner is made out of a laminated waterproof fabric, which is then enclosed by a water resistant woven dacron sailcloth. The clean lines and minimalist features of the Truce Drop-Liner are elegantly designed for streamlined commuting and travel. No daisy chains or superfluous ice-axe loops here.

Sailcloth makes a versatile and water resistant bag. The sails have lived many an adventure on the rivers and coast of the Pacific Northwest, so they may show some slight imperfections in color and tint, but we can assure you that the material has a long life ahead of it as a beautiful bag. The beauty of each bag is in it's individual character, no two bags are alike. Not all show the sail numbers as pictured, but each one is made specially for you.

Premium bags developed from reclaimed,
high-performance materials.

Truce Upcycled Technology

Truce Upcycle Technology

The Truce product line utilizes pre and post-consumer discarded textiles like used woven or laminated sailcloth and scraps of burly laminated nylons used for drysuits. In many cases, the combination of materials is something you would never see in mass-consumer products, because it would be prohibitively expensive and in too limited a supply. The final products are high-quality, technical products that are produced and sourced in an environmentally low-impact and responsible manner. Because our fabric inventory is constantly changing, refer to the fabric details below to learn about the different ingredients of our available packs.

Sailcloth
Woven Dacron

Woven Dacron sailcloth, the most common sailcloth we get, is a durable, highly UV-resistant polyethylene (PET) fiber that is ideal for the harsh ocean environment.  Woven Dacron bags are not completely waterproof but have excellent durability and water resistance, making bags with great character and usability.

Engineered Race Sailcloth
Laminated and Engineered Ripstops

Laminated sailcloth is on the cutting edge of textile design and can have many different compositions; from a Dacron woven and Mylar film to Kevlar or Spectra reinforcements. Bags that we produce with laminated sailcloths have very high weather protection, durability, and puncture resistance.

Oregon Drysuit Factory
Waterproof Nylon Liner Fabric

We have relationships with local drysuit factories to re-purpose the pieces of fabric too small to make drysuits, waders or drytops. We then seam seal this laminated waterproof nylon to create the liner portion of the Drop-Liner. We also use a waterproof nylon as the liner for the lid pocket.

I bought this for a trip to Asia - thinking it would be a nice day trip bag for the cities. I like it a lot - it is well laid out with a deep main compartment (with a zipper pocket inside) and a couple of well placed zippers on the outside for glasses or room keys. The sail cloth sheds dirt well (I banged it around in carry on bins, bus overheads etc etc). It is solidly sewed together by someone who cares about what they are doing. I wish mine had more upcycle color - If you want more color versus less (from the upcycle) ask for it - I am sure that Trew will deliver. The quality of this product encourages me to order more products from these guys (this was my first Trew order).

I love my drysuit daypack so much I decided to get another but this time opted for the sailcloth drop-liner and am so glad I did. Aside from how awesome this pack looks, the functionality is amazing. When fully packed it is extremely well balanced and with the addition of the waist strap very stable. Sailcloth construction absolutely bulletproof, absolutely waterproof and a very clean, neat design. Home run, TREW. Home run.
