Quiver-killers for the modern rider. Built for the wet, cold winters of the Pacific Northwest, TREW FREERIDE jackets, pants, and bibs feature Toray Dermizax NX® for the best in total weatherproofing and industry-leading breathability.

Toray Dermizax® NX
Waterproof / Breathable Membrane

After years of product testing in brutal conditions, we’ve found Toray membranes to be the most dependable and durable waterproof membranes available. They’re able to retain their weatherproof characteristics even when stretched, stressed, and abused, season after season and wash after wash. Dermizax® NX is the latest evolution of their flagship membrane, and it achieves groundbreaking levels of breathability and stretch without compromising weather protection.

  • 20,000 mm waterproof
  • 40,000 g/m2 breathable
80-D 3L

80D 3L is the main body fabric in our freeride line. It’s a silent workhorse fabric with mechanical stretch and an uncharacteristically soft, supple hand for a rugged hardshell.

  • 80x70 denier plain weave nylon face
  • 20 denier smooth knit back
140D2X 3L

We use our 140D2X 3L fabric to reinforce high-wear areas in our freeride line. It’s an incredibly durable fabric that utilizes heavy-denier 2-ply yarns in both the warp and weft. What it gives up in softness, it returns exponentially in abrasion resistance and tear strength.

  • 70/2 X 140/2 denier plain weave nylon face
  • 20 denier smoother knit back
Durable Water Repellent Coating

A high-quality DWR coating enhances the performance of the fabric by protecting the surface from dirt and oils. We only use DWR coatings based on the environmentally friendlier short-chain (C6) fluorine compounds, which won't degrade in the environment into PFOS and PFOA.

Cuff Protection

We use Superfabric® to protect the cuff and instep of all of our FREERIDE bottoms. Superfabric® laminates ceramic armor plates to a high-denier nylon, creating lightweight, water-resistant, and extremely abrasion-resistant protection.

Rescue System

All of our hardshell garments now feature RECCO® reflectors, which will bounce back a directional signal to rescue teams equiped with RECCO® detectors. Reflectors are not a substitute for an avalanche beacon or good decision making.

Received the Eagle pants with the Cosmic jacket last season and tested it thru all conditions and weather. I'd have to say that these pants performed beautifully whether your on the ski hill or in the back country. Pants protect you from all the elements and has enough vents to cool you should you or it get to hot. Love the pockets that hold everything I need without getting in the way. For really cold days I did have to wear medium weight under clothing, but that has nothing to do with the performance of these pants. Would highly recommend it! Also, thumbs up for the extra (alligator) skin like material at the bottom of the pants. This is the first pair of pants that my ski edges have not sliced thru. It's things like that, that make a great product!

Got my pants in the mail today and they are so sick! Was super excited to put them on and was so relieved when they fit me. I ordered the black Eagle in size M. I'm 5'9 155 lbs. They look even better in person than they already do online. Just buy them and see for yourself

Just got a pair of eagle pants in black in the mail today. Ordered medium based on the sizing chart and that turned out to be exactly right. I'm 6'3" 190lbs 32/33 waist and they fit perfect. Fit & finish is awesome. The pics don't do these pants justice. Love the superfabric around the ankle cuffs too, really tough material. Also ordered the super down jacket and loving that too. Nice work guys!

love these pants! im usually between a 34 and 36 waist (depending on the amount of pizza and beers ive had), so i got the XL. Plenty of space, i usually have a wear a belt to keep em up. I've worn them in all conditions and they havent disappointed me. Wore them during a foot+ powder day with snow still coming down and had no issues with waterproofness. Worn them touring and no probs with breathability. Pockets are deep. Love the material at the bottom of the legs, definately adds to the durability of the pants. If you need new pants, get the Eagles they will not let you down!

Love these pants. Ordered and arrived within days (awesome). Wore them this weekend (lots of snow...wet and sticky) and I was dry and comfy. Like the side pockets (right one over the knee can be annoying). Got the XL for my 36" waist (on a good day)...plenty of space...I could use a belt as the side adjustments aren't enjoy. The one "surprise" that I'm still trying to adjust to is the "clip" that hooks the leg snow "skirt". Didn't know it was there and PULLED the first time to pull up the pant leg...Oops, bent it (bent it back). So, the jury is still out on that one...seems like a good idea. Still, very happy with this purchase. 4.5 thumbs...rounded up to 5.

New Eagle pants arrived this week and they're awesome! Can't wait to try them on my heli ski trip in January. The leg pockets will make it easy to access phone/camera without interfering with the avalanche beacon. With my old ski pants, I had to keep my phone in the backpack which was not convenient. Also love the fact that Trew Gear is still relatively unique! Thanks Trew team for the quality products and great service at a reasonable price.
