I have worn them for both AT and downhill only skiing. They are definitely waterproof so they were a little warm for going uphill in spring conditions, but there are vents to help stay cool. I got a size small tall because I don’t like things too baggy and they are a perfect fit and I can do a first and second layer underneath and still have room to move. SO you can imagine how stoked I was to find a pair with a 35'' inseam (tall) - and they sure did not disappoint. Perfectly proportioned in all the right places, all the right storage needs, all the right vents. I am a newer skier so I am no stranger to falling into wet and thick snow.
