    The Fit

A more streamlined fit through the legs gives the Capow Bib a more comfortable stride.

This membrane is rated at 20,000gr/m2 and the stretch upper panel and well-placed vents make this bib an uphill machine.

Sturdy enough for a heckuva good time. Just don't go running in to too many trees now.

    Blown button day 1

2 stars because out of the box center snap broke before ever seeing snow.

Other than that love the bib - fit and comfort. Really wish that the snap was still there.

    Very disappointed

My center snap broke upon first use and the “Superfabric cuff guard and instep protection” has several rips in the fabric after one tour.

    I had high hopes.

    The good :

    The pockets are great

    The zippers are thoughtfully placed

    The bad:

they are a really weird cut. Super skinny around the thighs.

Then they tapper to be extremely loose around the bottoms.

no way you could safely do any real ski mountaineering, your crampons would catch all day long.

I was stoked to try these out but just received them, tried them on and instantly got online to return them

Dave, thanks for trying out the Capow Bibs! Sorry they didn't nail it for your needs. Trust us, these bibs have logged some vertical feet with crampons, but you are correct, they are not as snug a fit as a standard mountaineering pant. The wide opening ensures a good fit for bigger AT boots and snowboard boots for our splitboard brethren. We hope to come out with a more lightweight, spring mountaineering pant soon. Keep in touch!

Best Snowpants I've ever worn... but!

Pants are super sweet! However, I think it'd be great to have a double zipper or zip bottom-up on the side vents since when there is larger snowpack snow tends to fall into them... and it'd be great to still have the vents open but keep them higher!

Hey Tyler, thank you so much for the feedback! We're stoked that you're enjoying the bibs so far, and we'll be passing your thoughts on the venting zippers on to our design team for consideration in future designs. Think snow and have a killer winter!

    Good fit!

I just got my Capow Jacket and bibs in and I am stoked!!! I’m 6’3”, 215 and ordered XL for both. XL is where it’s at for my size. The bibs fit in a way I can tell they’ll be easy to walk in if I use em for cross country, without extra fabric to make extra work. The jacket has the right amount of bag in it so I’ll be able to layer for whatever temp.

At this point, I’ve only tried em on in the mirror. I’m pumped to bring em to Japan next month to really see how they do!

Havent been sking or touring yet in them. But the fit is excellent, sizing chart seem spot on. I am 6'4 so i had to max out spenders, i could used an extra inch would have been nice, but happy i went with L and not XL. I also like long back zipper for venting and not having to take off all your layers if you had to take a crap. This is my first Trew garment and i really like it the well thought out design. I have skied in Arctryx for long time but i couldnt pass up a $250 Capow bib. Score!

Very well built but not for those with a beer belly

I really like this bib and the build quality but with the way it wraps around your abdomen it can be difficult if not impossible to wear for those of us with a beer belly. There is no give in this area and it is made for someone who has a much smaller belly than I. I went a size higher to accommodate this but even then it is very tight and now the length of the legs is way too long.

I mean one day isn't a lot to base this review on, so I'll try to update at the end of next year's season.
There great, big pockets, sturdy build, light weight, can't really ask for more out of my bibs. The real test is how do they hold up to a seasons worth or riding and digging.

    Trew delivers again

I purchased my first pair of Trewth bibs 6 years ago. Aside from a broken zipper they are still in good working order with a beautiful dirt-bag patina.
I purchased Capow for a better fit and lighter weight for touring. Capow delivered on both. I'm 6' 180 and the medium is a good fit. A little short, but workable.
