These bibs are the absolute best! Super comfortable and very stylish as I received many compliments on them. I’m someone who gets super warm while skiing and the dual vents on the inside and outside of my legs really help keep me from over heating. They might be expensive but they are very well made and worth every penny! Also the customer service behind this product has to be one of the best experiences I’ve ever encountered! Loading... Review posted Garth Reviewed by Garth, from United States Verified Reviewer Reviewing Capow Bib - Regular Ski or Board Skier Backcountry vs Resort 50/50 Resort & Backcountry Age 45-49 Height 6ft 1″ Weight 170-174 Body Shape Average Size Purchased L Rated 2 out of 5 Finally a Bib for resort AND touring? Ends up falling short for both. It would appear Trew is a solid brand and loved by many skiers and riders out there. I don't share this review to harsh on the company, but perhaps lend a suggestion or two for future improvements. I'll start with what I like. I ordered a Trewth Bib and Capow both in size large-regular and kept the Capow. I''m 6'1" 170 lbs and like the fit although a medium tall might have worked as well. When skinning the crotch hangs a little low, but it's manageable. I like the pockets on the thighs which allow for extra snacks and gear or stowing of gloves when hiking gets warm. The ample air flow from inside and outside vents is also nice. As far as I can tell, the fabric is waterproof for storm days. While it is lightweight, the main fabric of the bib seems to be durable thus far. A small complaint is the height of the fly zipper, which makes peeing a bit challenging. Even with the shoulder straps maxed out the zipper sits maybe 1" to 1.5" too high to do ones business comfortably. I've learned to deal with this aspect. The 2 main issues I have with the design are- the superfabric cuffs are anything but super. After a handful of days skiing they are already starting to shred (see pic). A return to traditional cordura would be a nice fix for the future. The second issue is that these seem to be neither warm for the resort nor cool for the backcountry. The single-layer thin fabric is somehow quite cold for lift serve at the frigid Crested Butte resort I frequent. I've gotten around… Loading... We are always working hard to make improvements to our products to make them better and better every season, and I know that we have the front zipper/fly at the top of our list to update for easier use in the future. We're sorry to see that you are running into issues with the cuffs already - we're always looking for the top fabrics for this application and we will continue to hunt for the most durable options out there. Our bibs should be your outermost defense, keeping you dry and protected from the elements - but cold temps will inevitably call for some more insulation or layers underneath, depending on the day and conditions. This all said, sometimes bibs aren't for everyone -- or they aren't the best option for every day. They will invariably hold more heat in with the torso coverage, and those who run hot when touring may find themselves overheating when hiking like yourself. There's nothing wrong with rocking pants on those warmer days in the backcountry :)
