Sustainable, stylish weatherproof shirt-jack.
The PDX Jack doesn't look like other TREW products, we know. Every once and awhile we come across an innovation in material technology that changes the way we think about product development and design. Such is the case with the PDX Jack.
Featuring an innovative water-repellent technology called EMPEL, the PDX Jack is a weather-resistant everyday jacket. A true backcountry-to-the-bar piece, the PDX Jack is a comfortable outer-shell for backcountry touring in wet, snowy weather, and it's a stylish quiver-killer for the daily grind.
The patented, microscopic process from Green Theme Technologies, the company behind EMPEL, impregnates the fabric on a fiber level, creating a near-permanently water-repellent coating to the fabric. It allows the fabric to repel water and moisture without using lamination, and most importantly, PFC chemicals. This technology opened the door for us to create a fully breathable, water-resistant, and versatile jacket that looks and feels like your favorite, everyday shirt.

This jacket is perfect to wear with your bib on days on the mountains or with a pair of slacks or jeans to the office. I love the stretchy material and the button down oxford look of it. You can take it as a travel shirt and pair it with a boiled wool blazer like the ambassador blazer from Outerknown, to wear on the night out if you need to dress it up a bit.
Love the style of the jacket but the arms were really tight. Everything else was perfect so I figured I would not chance sizing up. i returned it.
This has become my go to for any trips outside the house this spring. Water beads up and rolls right off and the look is unique. The lower sleeves are a bit too tight and could probably use a little tweak. I can get by with just a t-shirt on underneath, but anything with longer sleeves will cause binding and becomes uncomfortable after a while. Certainly feels like there is a bit of insulation, but not at the level of the Snap Jack.
love this shirt jack!
I am always a bit hesitant with uni-sex gear, but I am kicking myself for not making the plunge earlier on the PDX Jack. This piece is my new staple, and I have been wearing it nonstop since getting it in the mail. Fast shipping, and what an amazing top! I was in Utah all last week enjoying some spring-like conditions at Alta, and the PDX Jack/Chariot Bib combo was on full display every day. The material is breathable and super comfortable for skinning uphill, but has just enough wind-resistance to make it warm enough to wear on a backcountry descent or riding the lift up between resort runs. Not to mention it was a great item for the apres scene in the sun, keeping me at just the right temperature throughout and blocking my pasty arms and neck from the sun late into the afternoon. Also, the cuff elastic is my new favorite :)
For reference, I am 5'6", 140lbs, athletic female, and the Small is awesome. I could likely fit in the XS but I do like a baggier fit. Overall, I could not recommend this item more! Another fantastic product from TREW
