Super warmth for super cold conditions.

When every zipper is sealed up tight and your tent poles are bending under the strain of wind and driving snow, the Super Down Jacket keeps your poker hand steady until the storm passes. As a stand-alone insulator, it’s prepared for whatever winter has in store. The generous fit allows for wearing over a shell, when you’re waiting after dark at the pickup and your ride calls from the next canyon to let you know their Subie won’t start.

A Warm Place to Go!

Awesome jacket to bring on yurt, snow camp or hut trips, nice to put on after a long day outside. Great on the snowmobile when you are just riding cold groomed trails out to your destination, and is really compact so good to keep around for when after the sun goes down! So warm!

What was life before this jacket? This is the most comfortable jacket EVER. I am the biggest wimp with the cold and this is the only thing that helps get me out the door on negative temp days.. the down is so nice and puffy- but you don't feel like a total marshmallow. Thanks, Trew!

Super Super Down

I needed a new down coat for breaks climbing and wanted something that would hold up to the elements and my abuse of shoving it in a pack all day long. I looked around and decided on this coat because of the 850 Fill, the workmanship and durability. I brought it on my first climb this past week and was very impressed. I was climbing at around 10,000ft with a 20mph wind and wind chill of zero. I put the coat on to warm up and it was so TOASTY! But not too toasty. I kept it on as I climbed in the wind and it actually surprisingly breathed very well. It also seems like it will hold up to what I throw at it. I usually order between a small and a medium. I ordered the Medium and it fit true, affording room under it for layering. Thank you Isabelle P!

So I haven't gone on any crazy adventures with this coat yet, but this is what I can say so far: This coat is lightweight and packs down into one of the zippered pockets for easy storage which I'm sure both my backpack and I will appreciate. WIND DOES NOT BLOW THROUGH THIS JACKET which is a HUGE bonus. It also repels water and stays "puffy" which is a great feature. I cannot say the same for other down jackets/vests that I've had. I would also love to point out that the jacket seems a little less puffy than I expected based on the photos which is awesome. The less puffy look certainly does not take away from the warmth. I've worn it casually for a few weeks now and it keeps me TOASTY. Even if I just wear a t-shirt underneath. The stretch material is a huge bonus as well. The coat definitely moves with you. It has a number of pockets including two outer hand pockets and essentially six on the inside (on the reverse side of the
outer hand pockets). The fit is great and it has a cinch at the bottom, as well as elastic in the wrist portion of the sleeves to keep the air out. Hopefully I can update this review once I've endured the elements with it a bit more. Overall, kudos to the Trew Crew. Job well done.
