I hardly use the drop seat—it’s a bit of a pain in the bathroom but I could see how it would be useful in the backcountry. It’s a nice feature if I ever need it. However, I’m also a snowboarder and I feel like the zipper flap on the bum just collects snow. I try not to sit down too much, but if I need to or if I fall, it collects snow. If I don’t get it out right away, I will eventually have a cold, wet bum and that’s no bueno. My first pair ripped at the seam of the butt (granted, I did fall on a log) and I had to send them in for repair. Those haven’t come back yet. This pair I just noticed on Saturday and ripping at the seam under my armpit! It’s not like they are tight on me either, so now I’m going to have to send these back for repair after the season is done. Glad there’s a warranty but seems strange I’ve had to send both pairs in for repair. 🤔 Loading... Absolutely in love with this bib! First thing I love- It has so many pockets! If needed I can fit my pass, ID/credit card, granola bar/snacks, phone, keys, etc. Second- the fit is PERFECT! Thanks to emailing the Trew team, they gave me personal advice on sizing, and the Xsmall was the perfect fit. (I normally wear xsmall, or size 0 in regular pants/jeans/etc).. At first I thought they were a bit tight around my hips/rear, but the more I have worn them the better they've felt. I love how easily I can move in them, I have no restrictions at all, and that's with full range of motion! I've worn them touring, and in the resort and have had no issues or complaints at all. I will say they hit slightly long, if I were to buy any of the newer styles, I'd maybe go with a "short" inseam, for resort skiing, but I actually like my pants/bibs a little longer, especially while I'm touring and moving in fuller ranges of motion. Also something I wasn't fully aware of before purchasing- these are not lined/insulated- but I actually like that! There is enough room to layer underneath, and it gives this bib more flexibility when using- being able to wear in any weather. I have worn them in subfreezing temps, and have stayed plenty warm with a solid base layer; and I have now worn them spring skiing, and with vents open have stayed nice and cool.Overall I am super impressed with the durability and quality of the fabric, the fit, the features.. I wanted a pair of Trew bibs for a while but finally pulled the trigger on a sale! So glad I did! Wore them for the first time at Baldface and was so happy with them. They looked great, and if you have never had that flap for peeing outside… well, you are missing out!! I have “powerful” hips, thighs, and butt and though these were snug, I was totally fine with a base layer. I surprisingly stayed warm with just a wool base layer and the bibs (coat too but that goes without saying I feel). Anyway, I loved them and can’t wait to rock them into the spring on Mt Hood! Love these bibs! Shipping was fast and order was accurate. Bibs fit as expected. I actually got a size larger than what I would normally wear and am glad I did. The extra space allows for my impact jacket and shorts. The main thing is that I stayed DRY and warm the entire trip! Loading...
