Perfect Outer Layer

I got the Wander this year to be my backcountry alternative to the Pow Funk, and was blown away. It is way lighter, but equally waterproof. I love the way this jacket is designed, and the way it looks. The large pockets make it possible to easily store skins and anything else that needs to stay dry in the backcountry. This is a perfect jacket for a backcountry skier or snowboarder, who wants to keep their kit light.

breathability

I've tried this jacket on a warm day, and I'm impressed with the breathability. Only place may hinder the moisture evaporation inside is the rubber label of the brand, since moisture accumulated on it, and condensed as water. In terms of fit, I'm 5'11, medium size fits me quite well. I think this jacket is more comfortable than most gore-tex pro hardshells on the market due to its softness and stretchability. I would highly recommend it to skier who prefer something light, breathable, soft and comfortable feel with streamline fit.

Jaw-dropping touring jacket

I have used many different waterproof breathable jackets over the years, but the Wander might be the perfect jacket for splitboarding. The fit is not too baggy, nor is it too tight. The pockets are watertight, the hood fits perfectly over a hat when touring in puking snow. The inner drop pockets are very helpful for keeping gloves warm (or fitting a few tall boys). The WPB material is as good as any Goretex or event material and even has a slight mechanical stretch. I can not prove that it breaths better than any other jacket as I still use the pit zips. All in all this is my go-to backcountry jacket.

A touring jacket better than most

Incredible jacket that rivals anything sold by the competition. Extremely light weight and well fitting. I was able to take the jacket on a 25 mile backpacking trip in 19F weather through the Dolly Sods recently, to which it proved superb. Shell blocks both wind and rain, keeping me toasty with my Patagonia Down Sweater underneath. Ventilation is ideal for backpacking, snow sports, or everyday wear. The charcoal is fantastic, but the picture appears to have a light blue zipper when in fact it is a mint green. I thought that color choice was a bit odd, but I'll get over it. The sleeves are a touch too long, but may prove convenient when wearing winter gloves. I am 5'10", 190, athletic build and the medium is perfect.

this jacket has got you covered.

This jacket is a great piece of gear! The pockets are large enough to stow skins, the fit is articulated but not super slim, water proofing won't let you down, jacket packs down small, and not to mention it looks amazing. Prior to buying this, I could only find incredible reviews about this jacket especially in regards to breathability, and I think my expectations were too high because of it. I still cannot wear this on my ascents up the skin track and I don't really notice a difference between this and my 2 layer gore-tex. That being said, I still choose this every time over my gore tex jacket. I've run hot my whole life and been told I skin at "aggressive" speeds so this may be a personal problem for life.

Bottom line: whether you ski inbounds, tour, or do a bit of both this jacket has got you covered.
