    When the universe demanded a durable ski shell that was equally comfortable climbing peaks as it was spinning laps on a chairlift, we delivered the Cosmic Jacket. It’s been ten years since we first heard the stellar request signal on our deep-scanning radio telescope, and we’ve been in touch with the ancients ever since, making small tweaks and constant improvements while never losing sight of their intergalactic vision. A highly practical ski and board shell, finely tuned to the everyday demands of the modern backcountry rider, yet as timelessly stylish as a 1985 shortbed pickup or a double-handed broadsword. 

    Offering simple, yet thoughtful features like a wrist pocket for your pass, lighter, and lip balm, internal mesh pockets for goggles or climbing skins, and fuss-free stretch hood gussets to seal out the storm, the Cosmic delivers everyday useability while our PNW3L three-ply shell fabric provides durable protection from whatever the galaxy throws your way.

        Style and performance

        I love this jacket - it looks great (especially paired w/my Trewth Bibs) and has a lot of functional details like a pass pocket on the sleeve.

        I took the jacket for a spin during a serious mixed precipitation/high wind day in Maine. Found some goods in the woods and stayed relatively dry and warm despite the adverse conditions.

        Stellar Jacket

        After extensive use (50+ days this season), I can say this is one of the best jackets on the market. Waterproofing has never let me down, even on foggy, wet, ice-rind days. Light enough to tour in, deluxe enough to fill the pockets and be comfy in the resort. The added elastic in the hood allows for great head movement in the worst conditions. Stylish, bright colors are great for keeping track of each other in fog and trees. My last Trew coat lasted 7 hard seasons. Trew will continue to be my first choice for outerwear.

        I am 5'8" and ~150 lbs and I wear the large size. Originally bought Medium for slimmer fit, but felt my arms were restricted when raising them over my head. I exchanged for large and love the fit. Great customer service made the exchange quick and easy.

        French fry kind of jacket

        Love this jacket. Feels sturdier than most shells yet still light and packable. Water resistant too despite a wet snow PNW snow pack here at Mt Ashland! A french fry kind of jacket to be sure.

        The trewth about your gear

        I am a huge fan of TREW gear already. I have two kits myself and I am saving up to buy a third. The most recent kit I purchased was for my kiddo and this is our first Chariot jacket purchase. It is working out great. Fit is great and pockets are perfect. My kiddo picked out the Paprika in both the bibs and jacket and in person it looks awesome. The color did look lighter online, and I was thinking it was going to be too much Paprika altogether, but in person I am a huge fan. My kid looks like a TREW stud. Thanks for making gear we love!!!
