FUN BUT MIGHTY
While the Pack Jack may have the appearance of a fun loving, beach going, better half (it is all of those things), don’t let its beautiful outer extremities fool you, the Pack Jack has the technical pedigree to protect you on any adventure.
A mighty material, this particular micro ripstop is also mighty nice feeling; our selection was made for its light, buttery smooth next-to-skin feeling. A breathable PU coating and DWR finish makes our Pack Jack wind proof and water resistant, while simultaneously allowing for your body’s moisture accumulation to escape.
Business in the jacket, party in the fanny. Not only is our Pack Jack an incredible looking, lightweight, first line of defense against the elements, it also packs into its built-in fanny pack!!

The Pack Jack is a real winner! I like to bring a light wind jacket when biking or hiking, and rain is not in the forecast. I have been using a Houdini for the past few years. But when I saw this from Trew, I decided to give it a try. It is super lightweight, plus has it's own butt pack (which is very convenient) and the fabric is DWR. It is more substantial than the Houdini, but still really lightweight. The pack has room for my phone and keys so once again, very convenient and well thought out. I am very happy with this jacket. I have 2 other Trew jackets, the Stella and a rain coat (that you don't carry anymore) and I love both those as well!
Bought this for runs, hikes and mountain biking in Northern California where it can be blazing in the sun but chilly in the shade. I’m 5’10” 150lb and I got a size Small. The fit is great for me as I’m pretty lean, and I like a more fitted look. The arms are pretty tight tho so I can’t push them up too far if I get hot. Not a deal breaker tho. I love that the front zips all the way up to the chin for some extra wind protection. The hood is fitted so doesn’t blow off and the back is cut low enough so mud and wind stay off my tail. Feels durable enough for bombing singletrack through the coyote brush. Thanks Trew!
I really enjoy this in my day bag ascending up a skin track. It's great when temperatures rise enough that a full on Winter jacket is too much for ascending. So I use the Pack Jack to keep the breeze of the wind off my back and chest.
Controlling your core temperature while ascending is vital as you don't want to be too hot! I also enjoy this Pull Over for quick trips to the grocery store or going for a hike or walk.
Could maybe use a bit more room around the lateral muscle area or perhaps I could lose some weight! ;)
9.5/10 for fit, comfort and durability!
Job well done on this one Trew Crew!
I love the jacket, my one complaint is that there's no way to tighten up the hood so when I'm riding my bike with it on it's basically a parachute.
This jacket is the only article of clothing that you may ever need. It packs down insanely small, so it’s perfect for travelers or those that like being extra prepared for the changing weather. It stops the wind in it’s tracks and is functional for every season and occasion. I never knew I needed this layer until I was wrapped up in its perfection.
