Snap On, Snap Off
Our Snap Jack is the ultimate layer for getting shit done. Featuring our tried-and-true Snap Jack design with updated material and a clean, new aesthetic, the new Snap Jack is ready for the next decade.
First and foremost, the Snap Jack is a mid-layer designed to add an extra layer of warmth to your TREW shell. 40g of hydrophobic, synthetic insulation is all you need to stay comfortable and dry in the worst mountain weather. Our new fabrication is a little stretchier and more breathable, making it a better companion for backcountry skiing and snowboarding. Now with added weather protection on the exterior shell, EMPEL sustainable water-repellent technology, the Snap Jack is ready to be your go-to jacket for all seasons.
The patented, microscopic process from Green Theme Technologies, the company behind EMPEL, impregnates the fabric on a fiber level, creating a near-permanently water-repellent coating to the fabric. It allows the fabric to repel water and moisture without using lamination, and most importantly, PFC chemicals. This technology opened the door for us to create a fully breathable, water-resistant, and versatile jacket that looks and feels like your favorite, everyday shirt.
I have this snap jack and the prior version. I love them both, but this one is a bit beefier and burlier. I wear it everyday now that the weather cooled off and can’t wait to try it on the mountain. Thanks Trew!
The Snap Jack arrived just in time for the Autumn cool down and the drizzle season. Perfect to cut away the chill and keep the moisture at bay. Its been my go to layer around town and stoked how it handled in a work environment - shedding sawdust and soot like a champ. And that Khaki Color is 🔥
Love the feel, the accent color of the snaps, having pockets is so key (so I don’t forget my mask 😆) - not too warm or too thin.
Been wearing it on and off the mountain and out crabbing in the Puget Sound.
I would take a hooded or a vest version too! Love it.

What the heck is this new material?! It feels and looks so good!!! 😍 I want this jacket in every color!!! Thanks Trew!!
Ive been looking for this style and performance for some time. Plastic rain shells are too hot and stiff providing little warmth. This LS shirt is perfect for the transitional weather in Portland, Or from Sept-June. Today it's raining (surprise) and 60F. Been wearing the LS shirt around the house over a T unsnapped and then took the dogs for a quick walk. Of course it started raining. But the EMPEL water repellent finish shed water like a rain shell. Please make a knit hoodie to match with the same technology. I'll buy that one too!
