Tear the roof off the sucker.

Some people want style at the expense of substance. Others want pure function without a single aesthetic consideration. We want the funk. The PowFunk, to be more specific.

The PowFunk Jacket is just a little extra, and that’s what makes it so crucial in the clutch. It sits a little longer in the torso, has a few more pockets for snacks, and cares a little bit less about what technical ski and snowboard shells look like after they’re done checking all the nerd boxes. But there’s much more to the PowFunk than a bunch of posturing and spray.

An overachieving slacker, the PowFunk lays a foundation with our stormproof PNW3L three-ply fabric and fully taped construction, then builds on it with enough pockets, features, and ergonomic patterning to deliver the free-range function that most resort jackets can only dream about. What more can you ask for? Well, you can start by asking for the PowFunk. Then, ask for the world on a silver platter...

Love this Jacket!

Fantastic jacket and great customer service

Bad Fit

The arm length is just a hair too long.
The fit around the waist is too tight. I expect going up one size for the waist measurement would be just about good enough. However, then the arm length would be even longer, which would be super annoying.
I would expect the waist measurement to be the inside button seal, not the outer Jacket fit. There is -so- little room to bend in this jacket.

Zipper Needs Improvement

I feel this review is necessary since had I known some issues I had experienced I would have steered clear of this jacket.

The zipper on this jacket is the absolute worst - it broke on me not once, but twice after Trew sent me a replacement. I figured the first time was a fluke but the second time I simply leaned over to pick up my 2 year old and the bottom ripped apart. Luckily I was not in the backcountry or somewhere where a functional zipper may have been a bit more important.

However....I will say that Trew did make it right by offering a replacement with the Cosmic jacket which has a much burlier zipper. I'm hopeful this jacket will give me many years of good use.

It is frustrating since besides the zipper the powfunk is an awesome jacket. I guess I've been so used to never having zipper issues that I took that for granted. Hopefully the zipper issue will be addressed.

We feel you here, and since you purchased your Powfunk (and got your warranty replacement) we have updated the zipper and overall zipper design to be much burlier! Happy shredding, and enjoy that new Cosmic :)

Really stoked

Paired this with the Trewth bib in Basalt and its been great in the backcountry and the resort
