        My dad loves it

My dad wanted to upgrade from an old Patagonia powder bowl jacket. He asked my opinion and I bought him this coat. He loves the fit, and the slightly heavier face fabric to protect him from the Mammoth Mountain wind and the cold. He loves it, and it looks so good.

        Size chart is your friend!

Listen to the size chart and don't just go off your usual size. I'm 36yrs old, 6ft tall, 200lbs with an "athletic dad bod": broad shoulders and chest, with abs hiding under a small layer of fun, and +3" ape index (long arms). "L" was the right size for me but mostly for the shoulder width and arm length, body is somewhat baggy but still has some form to it. The tail of this jacket Is also longer, going 2" below the bottom of my rear which I prefer.

I've only taken one lap w/ this kit so far but PRIMO sums it up for now, will update after some solid use next season.

        Cosmic stoke

Very happy with this jacket. At 6’1” 180# I got a large. Could have gone with a M I’m sure, but I like lots of room. Feels very well made. It’s performed well on a couple storm days. The neck opening is pretty big, and the collar is high, but it works. Hood fits over a helmet well without binding. A 2-way zipper and/or pit zip mesh would be cool, but I’m not complaining.

        Very nice Shell Jacket

I have worn this while working Patrol and free skiing, nice and roomy with a “puffy” jacket underneath, also good with just a couple layers on warmer days. It is pretty long on me, I am short and stocky, not “curvy” as an option below. I wish I had tried a Large instead of an XL first but I am not used to shell jackets running large; even then I am not sure that a large would work as I am not sure there would be enough room in the shoulders. I still enjoy the practicality and the versatility of the jacket. Excellent placement of pockets, which I need plenty of when working patrol, this works well under my Patrol Vest.
