Designed in collaboration with CAPOW Guiding of Revelstoke, British Columbia

If you like long uphill walks in the mountains, you pump your fists to the band Trooper, and you eat gummy candies before lunch, then lead guide Marty Schaffer and his Caposse want to go on a blind date with you. They’ll be easy to spot: look for the folks with the shit-eating grins, wearing the Capow Bibs.

Tuned and articulated for gliding up the skin track but fully bibbed and burly for tackling big lines, the Capow Bibs are a collaboration effort with Capow Guiding, designed to their needs and specifications. They have an integrated beacon pocket, thoughtful zippered pockets, and big drop-in cargo storage, not to mention the kind of performance and durability you need to guide in comfort through all kinds of conditions. We made them available to our regular customers because we thought you all might want the same thing.

Perfect bib

I believe this is the very first time I've written a review for something but these are the best bibs out there so I gotta tell my frands. I am 6' 185# and got the large which fits great. I took them out for their maiden tours in the southern Wallowas of NE oregon and they exceeded any other bib I've worn in various conditions. Pockets and vents are very thoughtful with a good beacon pocket and thigh pockets are awesome for storing gloves or skins without noticing they are there. We had a day of 40+F and sunny and I wore without a base layer and had zero discomfort or trash bag feel. The fit sets them apart as well with a good balance of room without being too baggy. I was unsure how they'd work with snowboard boots but they fit perfectly over them. They are trim enough to not catch crampons on but not euro alpine skinny jeans either. So far they havent leaked at all in moderately wet conditions but I haven't had a proper NW shower in them yet. Big fan

Bibs that bring it all

Snagged these bibs at the beginning of the season and now have about 45 days in them. I couldn't be happier.

The fit - I am a 6'1 lanky build, and I ordered a medium. Coming from a baggier (more spacious) bib, I am happy with the form fit. Even though it is more trim, I don't feel that I lost any range of motion or ability. Overall, they really nailed the fit for skinnier folks.

Durability - I have used these both for resort days hot lapping lifts, and back country days. I have not seen signs of wear through any of the joint areas (knees, hips, backside). Additionally the weather facing pockets and zippers seem durable and can handle an aggressive pull without breaking.

Could do better - the kangaroo pocket isn't as awesome as I would like. It doesn't have enough room and I also noticed that I am cautious when opening and closing both chest zippers compared to the weather facing zippers (as if I am going to rip the piece off from the zipper); a larger pocket with a more durable zipper would be $$$$.

Final Thoughts - easy. If you to want chase powder out-of-bounds, or rip hot laps in-bounds, then buy these top-notch bibs.

CaWOW!

First bibs I've ever owned and i'm "Trewly" converted to the brand. At 5'11" 135lbs I bounced between a SM and XS and landed on the XS for the slimmer look since my legs are twigs (length was slightly shorter but still enough with suspender adjustments). They fit perfect and look great. Trew really nailed it on the streamline fit (the style of the bibs is how I gravitated to the brand in the first place) Ease of movement and super light weight making them playful which really enhances my experience while riding. Everything about these makes me a more confident rider.

The technical membrane is amazing. I work for an outerwear company that uses gore-tex in everything so I was skeptical at first but after some research & discussion with developers/ fabric professionals I was assured that the materials used here are top quality. I've put about 15 days into these this season and they've kept me bone dry. My legs and chest don't over heat either with how well they breathe. The outer fabric still doesn't wet out (Awesome DWR treatment). The water just beads up and slips right off. Really impressive.

My only complaint would be the chest pockets. Just wish they were a little bigger. Oh and the fact that there is no Toffee colorway this season. Please bring it back to the capow. I went with the green and I am however very happy with how clean they look.

Aside from the chest pockets and color offering I could not be happier with these bibs. They come highly recommended and are well worth the purchase. They will not disappoint.

a pleasure to have in class

So far these bibs have been just what I was looking for. I'm a 70/30 resort to BC kind of person but I was looking for more streamlined fit just out of personal preference. At 5'10" 155lbs I went with the medium and they rock the perfect balance of slimmer fitting while not skinny. Great movement, never feel like it's too baggy or restricting anywhere. The ventilation is quick and easy, allowing fast adjustment to the changing weather.

Some notes on the pockets. Love the beacon pocket, super convenient. The side pockets are secure and plenty deep for phone wallet keys any other slimmer things. I'm not a huge fan of having things in thigh pockets in general so I don't really use those but they're definitely spacious. The small diagonal chest pocket really is the party pocket. I've found it's great for easy access to smaller items like earbuds or a snack, but is still large enough for a beer!

Overall incredibly satisfied, hoping these bibs last me for years to come.

Best bibs I've ever owned

I purchased these bibs at the start of the season and have since put easily 100 days on them. I absolutely love them. Here are my thoughts on them.

What I love:
- The fit and look - I'm a tall guy (6'3, 180lbs, wearing a Large) but with big legs. These fit my legs perfectly without being exsessivly baggy elsewhere, but still maintaining that steezy freeride fit and style.
- The Weight/Breath-ability - This was the major selling point for me. I wanted a pair of bibs that wouldn't sweat me to death. These don't. Long days are no long a damp, unpleasant experience.
- The Pockets - One of my favorite things about these bibs are the two, massive thigh pockets. As an outdoor professional, having big pockets to stash everything in, is a huge plus (field book, gloves, ski straps, coffee mug ect.) The beacon pocket is also amazing.

What I don't love:
- The instep protectors - These are my one issue with the CAPOW bib and what kept it from a perfect score. The odd dotted/textured instep protector gets snagged on ski edges and I've worn mine off in several spots and now those areas are vulnerable to being cut. Also the protection area could wrap around the back of the leg a little more. I think a smoother more durable fabric would be ideal in this area.

All in all, these bibs are a staple in my outerwear kit. I don't ski without them now. Aside from the minor gripe with the instep protectors, these bibs are perfect. Could not recommend more highly.
