Retro 2009!

Our first bib design, the TREWth Bib, was released 10 years ago. We've been slinging these game-changing pants ever since. We like to believe that we've saved a lot of wet butts and made a lot of pow-hungry chargers very happy in the process.

Here's what we wrote in our first catalog in 2009...not much has changed:

"Like the truth…these bibs will set you free! Finally, here’s a bib for the modern shredder. The TREWth Bib updates the time-tested bib design with a roomier, more comfortable fit. These Bibs are designed for the rider who demands nothing less than the TREWth. Sturdy enough to make any patroller jealous, comfortable enough to wear to the bars, that’s the TREWth!"

The Good, The Bad...

First off 5-Star service... no complaints there. A lovely girl sent me 3 colorways in 3 sizes to let me put my hands on and figure out the right size with free shipping labels included for the returns. Unheard off from other retailers.

I'm a heavy set dude 5'9, 230lbs, 44in chest and probably 42in around the belly. Ended up with an XXL that is longer than I'd prefer but works fine with ski boots on. For some perspective, the legs/thighs fit fine into the L and XL, but zipping up the torso was quite impossible. With the XXL, i've now got roomy legs and roomy torso and able to layer more underneath if that was my preference.

I've never had "fancy" bibs before but have had many different ski pants/bibs both insulated and not from various brands including from Columbia and The North Face. In comparison, this bib material just feels nicer overall and looks to be more waterproof. The green material is almost too soft... I've had these out and about for about 12 full resort ski days and put some scratches into the material but nothing that has compromised the waterproofing as far as I can tell.

The bad is no easy bathroom access round the back and the shoulder straps do not detach so you have to almost take the whole bib off to sit on a toilet. Also, bright green doesn't look so hot once it's dirty so I'm generally forced to wash it after 2-3 full days. (I'm usually hesitant to wash stuff that is waterproof since that seems to wear away at the proofing...)

The Retro colorway is bomb but you need a bit of "I don't give a shit!" to wear it well!

Hey Denny, thanks so much for the feedback! We just want to let you know that you should wash your gear as much as you wish -- just make sure to tumble dry on low after. By washing and drying your gear regularly, you will actually keep it living longer and performing better! We'll be sending over an email directly to you with a link to our How to Wash Your Outerwear video ASAP!

TrewthBibs - Colour: Retro - size: M

First pair of TrewthBibs. I’ve been looking for bibs that fit my frame: 5’9 -190lbs. I’ve worn a variety of TNF ski pants for years. Other companies like Patagucci or Arcteryx fit sleek men but if extra thigh space is required then their mannequin silhouettes are a bit dainty. TrewthBibs are pure power. Fit is spot on!These aren’t baggy Hammer pants. They are cut for movement; lots of movement: packing and skinning, tight turning and long carving, cosmic floating and deep pow choking.

Dopest Bib Ever

These bibs are tits, nice durable shell that has not been tested in deep sierra cement but soon I will. Plenty of pockets all in the right areas. I can not tell if my phone is on me due to the placement and design of the pockets. I went with the retro color and boy oh boy do I get a lot of compliments. Im 6’1” at 170# so the large fits perfectly. I also wear the demon padded shorts which fits nicely underneath. Its like the material softens up as you start to wear them more which I really appreciate. Thank you Trew for making one bad ass bib!

Heavy Duty Bibs without the weight

The Retro Bibs fit well for enough room to move, enough bib over boot, comfortable shoulder straps, opening side zippers for ventilation, and pockets to store stuff including Pieps transponder. My only complaint is the zipper on the Men's Retro Bibs for peeing is not long enough. Much better than other manufacturers' bibs, but a long front zipper, even one that bifurcates the entire front panel, would be my wish. The ability to split the bib's top down to the crotch.

Best Christmas Present ever

I bought the jacket and bibs for my son, an avid skier. He was delighted with the fit, styling, and performance.
