Sustainable, stylish weatherproof shirt-jack.
The PDX Jack doesn't look like other TREW products, we know. Every once and awhile we come across an innovation in material technology that changes the way we think about product development and design. Such is the case with the PDX Jack.
Featuring an innovative water-repellent technology called EMPEL, the PDX Jack is a weather-resistant everyday jacket. A true backcountry-to-the-bar piece, the PDX Jack is a comfortable outer-shell for backcountry touring in wet, snowy weather, and it's a stylish quiver-killer for the daily grind.
The patented, microscopic process from Green Theme Technologies, the company behind EMPEL, impregnates the fabric on a fiber level, creating a near-permanently water-repellent coating to the fabric. It allows the fabric to repel water and moisture without using lamination, and most importantly, PFC chemicals. This technology opened the door for us to create a fully breathable, water-resistant, and versatile jacket that looks and feels like your favorite, everyday shirt.
Oregon weather tends to throw a bit of everything at you, especially in the fall and spring. This 'jacket' is lightweight but does a great job of blocking the wind and shedding rain. It has been my go to jacket for meetings and gatherings for about a year now and works well over a t-shirt + jeans when you are heading to those PDX style get togethers. Also was nice to wear pre-Covid when I was biking to and from work/meetings.
Fit is tight in shoulders and arms. Baggy around stomach and waist. Overall and awkward looking fit if looking to wear it to work.
Great jacket! Runs a bit short in the arms so exchanged for an XL. Perfect. Great color
This jacket is perfect to wear with your bib on days on the mountains or with a pair of slacks or jeans to the office. I love the stretchy material and the button down oxford look of it. You can take it as a travel shirt and pair it with a boiled wool blazer like the ambassador blazer from Outerknown, to wear on the night out if you need to dress it up a bit.
Love the style of the jacket but the arms were really tight. Everything else was perfect so I figured I would not chance sizing up. i returned it.
