I'll start with the one positive - good water resistance. The negatives - just about every other aspect of this jacket.
Fit - hits at the most uncomfortable spot just below the keister. When you sit it bunches up and is unbelievably uncomfortable. The slim fit is, well it's just too slim., it's restrictive. I'm not a big guy, 5'7" 150 pounds. It feels restrictive and overall exceedingly uncomfortable.
Fit-sleeve length. Unbelievable long sleeves that make the coat almost unwearable. The cuffs chafe your arms because you have to fasten them so tightly so the sleeves don't go over your hands. Then the sleeves bunch up and again - make the fit uncomfortable and restrictive.
Pockets - I was really excited about all the pockets, but because of the tight fit you might as well not have pockets. And the left breast pocket (over the heart) is the natural place to carry s cell phone but some strange mesh inner pocket makes it impossible to slip a phone in with ease. I finally took a scissors and ripped out the mess pocket so I could fit my cell phone (and it's the small iPhone).
Zipper - doesn't function. I took it to a seamstress to replace the zipper - she wanted $300. HA!
Hood - oh don't get me started on the hood! The cord lock doesn't work to secure the hood. What good is a jacket without a hood that stays on?
Vents - no mesh on the vents so it's a zipper to nowhere. I was wearing it one day and it got warm out so I had it tied around my waist. Went to zip my cellphone in securely and (because it was around my waist) I inadvertently unzipped one of the vents put my cellphone in and zipped it back up. Unknowingly just dropping my phone onto the ground and losing it. Admittedly this is kind of an odd mistake for me to make but I didn't realize I had unzipped the vent (not one of the 25 pockets) and also didn't realize the vents had no mesh. $1200 dollars and a new cell phone later, I'm hating this jacket even more.
I will never buy another jacket online or from Trew. I was excited to try the Trew brand, being an Oregonian I wanted to support a local company. What a waste of money and what a f****** waste of money.
