Back to the country.

The Capow Jacket is the backcountry touring specialist in the TREW family tree. Built to excel on the way up and the way down, the Capow combines a lightweight, stretchy, and super-breathable fabric on the torso with burlier, abrasion-resistant protective shell fabric on the shoulders, sleeves, and seat.

Working with the Capow guides, we wanted to know how a jacket could make their lives and the experience of their clients better in the backcountry. Their answer? Make it light and breathable enough for the climb up, packable enough to stow easily in a backpack, and waterproof enough to lend dependable protection in a storm. Not so light that it feels delicate, but not so burly that it feels like it’s weighing you down. So, that’s what we made.

The most comfortable, most weather proof jacket

I love this jacket!! Have worn it a dozen days so far.. from hammering snow, stayed totally dry... to bluebirds, perfectly breathable. I love the material, it's super comfortable and light weight. I've actually started layering down a bit with it and still stay perfectly warm .. awesome jacket.

Side note, the customer service at Trew is amazing.

Great Jacket, a couple small flaws

I really like this jacket, have used it 15 days in the BC and a couple days in bounds. Breathes great, length is awesome for wearing with a pack, feels pretty bomber.

The only complaints I have are that the neck opening when fully zipped is a bit too small. The zipper is kind of tight on my face when it's on my chin, and when it folds under it feels a bit weird on the neck and catches my beard hairs. Additionally, the armpits are a bit tight, but the sleeves themselves are a great length/width.

I'm not sure what small necked/shouldered person they designed this for, but otherwise it's a great jacket and I would recommend it.

      Fantastic Jacket

Great jacket! I got it summer of 2020, so it's probably the '19/20 season jacket. I've worn it touring and on a few resort days and it's held up perfectly. Very breathable so wearing it on ups is rarely a bad move. I wore it at Crystal Mountain on a day where the snow that was falling was practically rain and the jacket was beading up and shedding water no problem.

I'm in between 6' and 6'1", 173ish pounds and got the medium. Fits great. Hood fits over my helmet just fine and can be sinched down. Definitely a more technical fit and less of a freestyle/freeride fit. But I've had layers under it and haven't felt restricted movement at all. For the interior skin pockets, my skins are pretty narrow (<100 mm under foot) so they fit just fine, but you might have more trouble fitting your skins in the pockets if they are wider.

      Kick ass

      This jacket kicks ass.

      Awesome Touring Jacket

Really like the fit and the functionality of the jacket. Pockets fit exactly what I need and the jacket seems to regulate heat very well. Overall very happy, 6'2 150 lbs in a large with plenty of room to layer underneath without looking ridiculous with only a shirt on below it.
