great touring shell

I own the TREWth Bibs, I'm a fan of TREW's dedication to colors and touring specific outerwear. In comparison to the TREWth, the Capow fabric is crazy light and stretchy. Unlike any shell I've ever owned. It moves and breathes well so well on the skin track. Blocks wind on the way down. Its so light maybe I worry about durability down the line but no problem yet.

DONT JACKET OFF

I really enjoyed being apart of the design process of this jacket. The biggest change you'll find with this piece from other TREW jackets is the fabric. Combining some stretch with water resistance, this fabric nails it! In BC we get WET and that was a big focus. We want something that will keep us dry when its dumping... but let some air escape while we're workin it on the up track.

The days I spent testing the jacket I wanted to try something that I dont normally do when I'm touring...keep the jacket dawned on the up AND down. I feel that is the ultimate dream. We always hit on the importance of NEVER sweating. SO a traditional heavy gore-tex makes ya feel like you're wearing a garbage bag. I went 4 days early December with a mix of all weather, from heavy dumping snow days to drier and cooler temps. While I regulated my underlayers, the jacket remained as the outside layer all day. To be clear, I normally rock an Up Jacket for the tours up to allow really solid air flow escape, keeping my down jacket in my pack dry just for the down.

I finished the trip STOKED... it worked! Sure I was kept dry when it was dumping, but the big success was how well the jacket let the hot air escape when working hard.

Big props to Brittany (head TREW designer) It's exciting to see her apart of the TREW team... its projects like this jacket as just the start of some big growth with all TREW gear. The company really is on another level this season.

SHITCHYEAH!
