Bicycles, boards, and spring time on Mt. Baker.

By Nate Duffy on

We met Shawna for the first time in Japan when we were with the Elevated Surfcraft crew this winter (see Big In Japan with Elevated Surfcraft) Before she even arrived in the land of the rising fun we heard she'd just won herself a slot in the Mt. Baker Legendary Banked Slalom.

Shawna has incredible style and spends her season nestled in Glacier, WA at the foot of the the legendary Mt. Baker ski area. She returned from Japan to snag first place in her division at LBS, scored some turns with us at Rainier on the way to Jackson where she got dumped on by the storm of the century, hit Alaska for some heli skiing, and of course finished her season in her own backyard with a human powered approach and summit of Mt. Baker.

She rallied some close friends and photographer Calvin Shillington and they proceeded to bicycle in as far as they could until they hit the slowly receding snowpack.
